Supernatural Husbands by Vivien Rose

This product was recommended by Kellee Montgomery from Proverbs 31 Spirit

For anyone who is praying for a spouse, Supernatural Husbands is the book you’re looking for. It is extremely detailed and extremely thought provoking. This book has completely opened my eyes to the importance of what to pray for before marriage and during. The authors of this book are very passionate about Godly marriage and have done a fantastic job with this prayer book!

The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian

This product was recommended by Wendy Gonzalez from Modern Ornament

The Power of a Praying Wife offers practical advice on how to pray for your husband. Each chapter focuses on a different aspect and need that you can pray about, and includes sample prayers and Bible verses to encourage wives to pray for their husbands.

A Praying Life by Paul E. Miller

This product was recommended by Scott Perry from Catchers Home

This was a very impact book for me because the author, Paul Miller, writes humbly yet convincingly of why prayer is such an important facet of the christian life. He demonstrates it throughout, with stories from his life detailing the role that prayer had in it. One of my take-away’s after reading the book is that it is not only a privilege and a duty to pray to God – but a joy to do so. This was one of those books that is so good you will want to re-read it again in the future so that you don’t forget the great message given in it.

The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence

This product was recommended by Robert Bordelon-Pearson from Follow the Leader llc

The Practice of the Presence of God is a classic in Christian literature. It was written in French in AD1692 and recounts the delightfully simple and yet profound spiritual observations of a man known as Brother Lawrence. Through a series of recorded conversations and letters, you slowly absorb his ability to talk with God as an ever-present, old friend. I love how astonishing every insight is that Brother Lawrence guides you to. However it seems to him that they are as obvious as sunshine. It’s like letting an ancient, Christian, Whinney the Pooh mentor your prayer life.

Pocket Prayers by Max Lucado

This product was recommended by Osama from Outfitrs

It starts with a Bible quote and then the quote is rewritten in a way that’s so easy to understand as if we are talking directly to God in our own words. There is a sense of peace because the prayers speak what I feel but don’t know how to express.

Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God by Tim Keller

This product was recommended by James Hyslop from The Coffee Folk

Well known Pastor from Manhattan Tim Keller has been of immense help to many Christians over the last number of years. His book on prayer is particularly helpful as an excellent mix of theology and practical advice on how to pray. Whether you are just new to Christianity and seeking direction or have been a Christian for many years this is an immensely helpful book.

Prayer by Phillip Yancey

This product was recommended by James Hyslop from The Coffee Folk

Phillip Yancey’s book on prayer has similar strengths to his other books including a fresh and engaging perspective, a good mix of reflections and practical advice, and an open acknowledgement that prayer is hard and we struggle with it. This is a particularly helpful book either to give to a friend or family member to help them grow or simply to remind yourself of what prayer is, why we pray, and the powerful way that God responds to our prayers.

Praying the Most Holy Rosary

This product was recommended by Karen Green from OutwitTrade

This is a wonderful little-known book that I got on my Kindle and was delighted to show my fellow churchgoers. The rosary is a meditation on the grace of God and there are some lovely prayers in here. For $8 this was an excellent buy, and I recommend getting it if you have a Kindle (the paperback is much pricier at $40).

The Battle Plan For Prayer by Stephen Kendrick

This product was recommended by Leia Kalani from Tropical Topics

This book contains basic training and targeted strategies on how to become a person of prayer. It discusses prayers’ impact through history and how it should be the first thing you turn to when times get tough and not your last resort.

Prayer by Timothy Keller

This product was recommended by Melanie Musson from EffortlessInsurance

Keller is able to give the reader a renewed understanding of prayer based on the foundation of the Bible. He also shares much of what Christian leaders throughout the centuries have written about prayer. It’s solid and timeless but fresh and exciting. Not only does Keller discuss the theology of prayer, but he also offers valuable insight and tips for developing a deep and frequent prayer life.
