Power of the subconscious mind by Joseph Murphy

This product was recommended by David Michael from CEO Tutorial

Power Of The Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy talks about the unlimited potential of the human mind, and how to use it to achieve success in all areas of life. It’s one of the books that I keep coming back to, because the psychology principles are relevant whatever you do, and whichever industry you’re in. The overarching message is that the subconscious mind is the powerhouse that controls all our thoughts, feelings, and actions. It can be used to create positive change in our lives or to sabotage our efforts. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read about learning how to control thoughts, feeling and actions, to make sure your subconscious mind is working for you – not the other way around.

Unearthing the Gift by Vinayak Mahajan

This product was recommended by Vinayak Mahajan from GiftAFeeling

This is a one of a kind book on gift giving. There isn’t any other book like this online or offline currently as this takes into account human psychology principles and its role in making a well received gift. It is based on the work done by top psychologists around the globe who are researching the art and science of gift giving, and provides a solution to challenges such as confusion and overthinking that people face while finding a gift for a special person – which could be, but not limited to family members and friends. This book also discusses some modern day problems that the advent of social media has created or fueled, and provides solutions to them using the research and studies done on brain psychology. Also, it takes into consideration the trends, data, demographics, history as well as cultural diversity and its influence on gift giving. If you are interested in learning about how to practically give a well-received gift this “gifting” season a.k.a holiday season, this book is for you!

Anatomy of a Survivor by Dr. Joyce Mikal-Flynn

This product was recommended by Elizabeth Brim from Dr. JMF

The last couple of years provided tough but distinct insights regarding life. We all felt the twists and turns, the challenges and adversities that bring about both sadness and joy. It is essential to recognize that these times also provided a unique opportunity to appreciate and embrace life – to spend time with others, take care of each other and indeed, live life to the fullest. Anatomy of a Survivor is clearly focused on that perspective. Interlacing life stories with science, this book specifically outlines how survivors used challenging events to structure positive and productive lives in the aftermath. You Got This is the rallying cry of this book, revealing that adversity brings forth powerful lessons including the most important one…that living one’s life to the fullest is the best and most important response to such events!

Influence by Robert B Cialdini

This product was recommended by Joel Key from Bloomsoup

While most of us would like to believe we are immune to the effects of outside influence and persuasion, nothing could be further from the truth, as Cialdini demonstrates in this seminal work. By increasing awareness of our inner blind spots, not only can we remain alert to external manipulation, but apply productive, evidence-based psychological approaches for personal and professional growth.

DARK PSYCHOLOGY 6 BOOKS IN 1 by BENEDICT GOLEMAN

This product was recommended by David Adler from The Travel Secret

When people hear the word psychology they think it has to do with something wrong going with your brain or depression behavior. However, psychology is much wider than that. It also focuses on understanding yourself and your motivations, learning about and understanding other people, and changing a behavior or feeling. You get the idea! If you read about psychology you are probably someone that will understand yourself and other behavior too.

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

This product was recommended by Ellie Marks from Simply Mumma

I suggest this book for numerous reasons but I would love to specify the best 3 reasons I am suggesting it for. First, This book is not written by any random person or writer but a psychologist itself. It shows the liability and credibility of the book inputs and the reasons behind them. The second is that the book talks about the mind in the simplest way – our brains consist of System 1 and System 2. While System 1 is fast and emotional, System 2 is slow and more rational. The third is, The author of the book has put a lot of direct and indirect research in the book to provide a proof for a statement.

The Private Life of the Brain by Susan Greenfield

This product was recommended by Ann Doughan from patioland

A surprising discovery made during periods of anger, fear or euphoria, that one’s brain becomes infantile again as if they were still at birth. An idea challenges many preconceived notions about what it means to have a sense-self.

Games People Play by Eric Berne

This product was recommended by Cindy Corpis from SearchPeopleFree

Berne’s classic from the 1960s is highly beneficial for the 2021s also. The transactional assessment examines human behavior via a social lens. Berne Showcases that individuals personify one of the three diverse expressions of the ego in social relationships, such as the child, the parent, and the adult. Here, the parent is nurturing and critical, the adult is rational, and the child is intuitive and dependent. These top three expressions lie in everyone.

Start Where You Are by Pema Chodren

This product was recommended by Cindy Corpis from SearchPeopleFree

As far as Western Psychology is concerned, it emerged approximately 120 years ago, whereas the Eastern one was thousands of years older. But this powerful book is based on Lojong, which is approximately 300 years older. Therefore, this book has demonstrated top mind training practices, which contains 59 aphorisms, showcasing the excellence of Buddhist psychology. And Children, a Western Buddhist teacher, has done great work by elaborating on the meaning behind these aphorisms.

What Happened to You? by Oprah Winfrey

This product was recommended by Geninna Ariton from Trendhim

Learning psychology through traumatic conversations, resilience and healing is made possible by providing powerful scientific and emotional insights into the behavioural patterns so many of us struggle to understand.

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

This product was recommended by Shiv Gupta from Incrementors

This book came highly recommended, and I loved it, however, I have a few comments. While the author does an excellent job of categorizing habits and demonstrating how habits work in the brain, there is one shortcoming: the book does not expressly explain to you how to modify any behaviors. Perhaps my expectations were set expecting a different type of work, but I found the lack of this component being handled to be a little disappointing. Having said that, the book is still a quick read and a fascinating look at how habits form in the brain.

Behavioral Human Psychology by Joseph Griffith

This product was recommended by Cathy Mills from Net Influencer

For people who want to learn about psychology, I highly recommend this bookabout human behavior. The author explains in a very interesting way how psychology explores the human mind and how to understand people’s emotions and behaviors. This topic is definitely general culture for anyone. Likewise understanding the human mind will help you understand many of the day-to-day situations in your personal life and at work.
