Starting to learn English is a very important step for any child. With knowledge of a language used worldwide, it can truly make an impact on the career and moving places.
These books begin with setting good habits to follow and are sure to quickly boost any ESL student to a very respectable level. They are on this list because they have been recommended by experts; teachers, professors and other industry experts.
The reason why I am recommending this book is that it’s written by experienced ESL teachers and along with basic English grammar, they’ve also included great confidence-building exercises.
One of the best books that are quite popular among ESL students is ESL Beginner.

One facet of ESL tutoring that is often omitted from ESL study is a focus on teaching students how to form the forty-four phonemes of the English language to enunciate clearly in a natural accent. ESL students often parrot the sound of words rather than learning the muscle mechanics behind an English accent.
With this in mind the easily accessible ‘Speak and Be Heard: 101 Vocal Exercises for Voice Actors, Public Speakers and Professionals’ by Richard Di Britannia acts as an excellent guide for both increasing a student’s vocabulary and teaching them how to replicate a neutral English accent.
My work acts as an excellent guide for both increasing a student’s vocabulary and also improving their ability to move the mouth, lips and tongue in a manner necessary to replicate a neutral English accent.

Things That Happen By Chance is a children’s picture book which easily helps to prompt the reader of what the English words may say. Available in several languages with two sets of text on each page it helps readers of all ages cross over from their native language to English.

Now, I understand that grammar can be boring to learn and can be complicated, however, Grammar in Use breaks it down so well that it becomes incredibly simple. Having said that, it is all in English, as in the instructions and explanations, so this might cause some issues. Despite this though, I stick by it and still recommend this book to help with understanding grammar.

For me, the reason why this book is so good is because it is clearly separated into units, something I have found other books to not do, which makes it more complicated. Also, each unit has some vocab, a bit of grammar, and great ways to practice and produce the language being taught.
