This book is a great approach to learn English in a fun and easy way. What I appreciate about this approach is that the reader uses text and visuals to aid comprehension and reading efficiency. People, I’ve discovered, learn best visually. The picture technique is an excellent visual instructor that aids non-native English speakers in comprehending language structure. This book also helps with vocabulary and grammar, and it’s a fantastic method to master the fundamentals so you can interact with people more easily.

Grammar for Business helps improve communication skills since it provides tips and techniques for oral and written communication. It focuses on spoken and written business English which you can apply in different workplace situations. What makes this interesting is its “Make it personal” section that allows you to apply what you have learned.

English, being a widely known and acceptable language, it will not be new to hear that there are a lot that want to learn it. As a business owner, I recommend “English For Everyone: Beginner Box Set” written by DK. This is a set of four books that contains reference guides and practice books that are intended to assist beginners along their journey to mastery of the language. This bundle is self-supporting and visual-based learning that aims to improve the learner’s writing, reading, and speaking skills. It provides sample language, supporting audio, quick referencing, sentence formation guides, visual english vocabulary cues, and personalised learnings. This will not be too boring or too difficult for adults that want to learn the english language.

If you’re unsure about concepts like transitive and intransitive verbs or demonstrative and interrogative pronouns, Cambridge University’s English Grammar: Understanding the Basics is a good book to start. This book is intended to make learning English grammar as simple and easy as possible for readers. The authors employ a kind and encouraging tone, as well as simple language with little terminology, to assist readers in overcoming grammar anxiety.

This expanded and updated intermediate-level language program is designed to help Spanish speakers gain proficiency in American English. It is an ideal follow-up and self-teaching guide for Hispanics who have mastered Barron’s Inglés para Latinos, Level 1. Still, it can also be helpful to anyone who already has some basic knowledge of English. The online audio uses spoken dialogues and coaching to emphasize the correct pronunciation of informal American English.

The No-BS Guide to English Vocabulary and Effective Communication: An Interactive Road-Map to Learning Words, Fixing Spellings, and Building Fluent Pronunciation Skills Forever is a pretty long title for a book but the book is very self-descriptive and it’s one of the first English books that I’ve read that made me improve my grammar. Now I don’t recommend reading this book if you are a beginner but it is a must for people who know quite a bit of English but have a hard time speaking the language properly and for people who often make mistakes in their grammar. I think this is a sharpening rock for my English skills as it helped my business associates think of me more highly since I can converse almost as well as a native speaker.

English: How to Get Really Good at English: Learn English to Fluency and Beyond, another book with a really long title. And just like the previous book, this one is very self-descriptive. Learning English from books and school is one thing, using common English words that people actually use in conversations is another thing. This book is what made me want to watch a lot of British and American films since it includes quotes from famous movies and shows that I wanted to watch. And from watching those movies like Fast and Furious and the Godfather, I’ve learned a lot of things from slang to the different accents Americans have. Aside from this, the book helps polishes your English skills allowing you to progress from the beginner level to intermediate level.

The best thing about this book is that it does not only contain words but it also comes with an audio CD. Technically, this book is sold as a book and CD in one set. If you will purchase it, you will feel that the money you spent is worth it. I remember suggesting this book to my friend since he is having a hard time speaking English and he is not too good at understanding some English words and expressions. I recommended this book because this book contains the most common American English idioms and phrases that are presented in appealing dialogues, with loads of usage examples, illustrations, and lots of activities to help you learn English better. By buying this book, I know that my friend will be able to adapt easily once he read it and listens to the audio CD included. Regarding the audio CD, it includes all of the dialogues, which is exemplary for self-study and for classroom use. I know that this is a fun and effective way to improve your conversational English so this book is worth reading. I can say that this book is not only for beginners but also for people who want to enhance their grammar and communication to make it more consistent and natural. It is not a disappointing book since it is a great source for people to get to know when, how, and where to use these idioms in the right situations. Moreover, the CD’s pronunciation is absolute. If you practice these idioms daily, I am sure you will see how thoroughly it works. I would recommend it not only to my friends but also to people whose English is the second language.

Learning English is no small feat. While widely spoken, the language itself can be complicated, and when it comes to phrases, sayings, and expressions, rather tough to pick up. At Vuibo we love Marvin Terban’s, “Scholastic Dictionary of Idioms: More Than 600 Phrases, Sayings & Expressions.” Turban has been referred to as a “master of children’s wordplay” and has successfully written over 35 books, mainly for young readers and teachers. This particular book really hones in on the theme that there are many ways to express yourself in English, a language rich with synonyms and subtle nuances. A well-rounded, English vocabulary is certainly possible, and “Scholastic Dictionary of Idioms: More Than 600 Phrases, Sayings & Expressions” is a great way to achieve it.

The Famous Five book series is an integral part of my childhood and my love for the English language. Reading these books improved my vocabulary tremendously and my love for reading also increased. The stories are very interesting and engaging, and it’ll fuel your curiosity and love for adventure, if any. The words are easy to understand for both kids and adults. It’s also a great bedtime storybook for kids.
