Learn Braille by R J Clarke

This product was recommended by Sally Stevens from FastPeopleSearch

An excellent resource. It’s giving me great enjoyment as learning braille has been an aim of mine for some time. This book breaks down the Braille writing experience to simple terms. This is a good way to learn and understand braille. The author talks about the history then gets on with teaching you the positions of letter, numbers and other needed information. Great book.

Braille for the Sighted by Stan Collins

This product was recommended by Alina Clark from CocoDoc

This book has been so much fun for me, I just thought it would be interesting to learn about Braille and this book has made it so easy. I would really recommend it to anyone who is thinking about learning Braille. It has tons of fun activities and little tips and tricks. Fantastic beginners book. It would be nice if the embossing on the back cover was actually more to scale but if I use my pinky finger it is easier.

Just Enough To Know Better By Eileen P. Curran

This product was recommended by Rebecca Deitsch from Books ‘n’ Backpacks

Just Enough To Know Better was originally intended for parents who want to help their blind child with Braille, but it is an excellent resource for everyone! The primer walks you through the Braille alphabet, punctuation, contractions, and numbers – and each section is accompanied by exercises in Braille. You can learn to read Braille with your fingers or with your eyes, whichever you prefer. If you are trying to help out a blind child or friend, there is a list of resources at the back (books, websites, etc.). Finally, the primer includes a detachable cheat sheet with all the most common Braille symbols! I really can’t recommend this book enough.
