Neurotypical persons tends to assume that the activities, relationships, and books that people with autism enjoy will be the same.
Nowhere is this truer than when talking about children with autism. Their young minds process reality in a very different way than the average youngling. What their more neurotypical peers enjoy hardly appeals to them.
With this in mind, several experts on childhood autism came together to develop books written to appeal to their sensibilities and stimulate their learning in a way that wholly appeals to their cognitive peculiarities to great success. Have the special kids learn the right way with these books.
This book is especially suited for children with special needs, as it focuses on seeing the world uniquely while embracing individuality. Surprise, I have 3 eyes! has been well received by children with autism, as it helps build conscious awareness, self-confidence and the acceptance for being different by encouraging children that it’s OK to think outside of the box.

I recommend the children’s book “Sammy Smart Guy” by my brother, Polyvios Christoforos. He is on the autism spectrum himself and used a fictional character to share some of his life experiences with autism, and how he became a successful artist. It’s an inspirational and honest kid friendly story.

Featuring an autistic protagonist who saves the day with his special qualities, not despite them, this sci-fi/fantasy novel (and the following books in the Joel Suzuki series) provides young readers on the autism spectrum with a positive, empowering literary hero and role model that they can call their own.

Penguin Says Please , and start imitating the gestures and sounds of the book. That happened every time I went to his home. Surprisingly, the book improved his communication skills greatly so I began using it for therapy. By the time the therapy ended, a couple of months later, the child could say a few words. That’s why I recommend that book as my first option.
